Fundraising FaQ

Our PTA is an independent non-profit organization with a mission to enhance and support the educational programs and environment at Kennydale Elementary. Only a small portion of the PTA's income comes from PTA membership dues paid each year. To provide the support to our school and children, to make certain programs possible, and to bridge the gap between public funds and actual expenses, we need to raise money. In order to raise funds, the PTA conducts a variety of fundraisers to fit everyone's preference. 

The PTA funds teacher mini-grants, buses for field trips, the art enrichment programs, Scholastic Magazines for classrooms, and ongoing teacher appreciation events. The PTA also hosts events like the Move-A-Thon, Read-A-Thon, Auction, Book Fair, family movie nights, Spring Carnival, school dances, and more. PTA funds contribute to school initiatives around literacy and social-emotional learning as well.

Stay tuned for a visual breakdown of our 2023-2024 school year spending for things like Community Building & Student Safety, Direct Academic Support, Teacher Appreciation & Support, and Administrative Expenses. We will also summarize the support given to teachers via our grant program.
